On March 19, 2025, the Romanian Cyber Care Health (RO-CCH) project team participated in the online event titled "Cybersecurity in Healthcare: Data Protection and Innovations for a Secure Future". The event was organized in collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering, Computer Science Specialization, within the North University Centre of Baia Mare, part of the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca.
This initiative brought together students and cybersecurity experts who engaged in discussions on key aspects of healthcare data protection. The topics covered included:
- The evolution of cybersecurity vulnerabilities in medical devices
- Safe online practices for protecting personal and medical data
- Opportunities for young cybersecurity specialists
The event provided participants with valuable insights into the specific cybersecurity risks facing the healthcare sector and the innovative solutions designed to safeguard patients and sensitive data.
The Romanian Cyber Care Health (RO-CCH) project aims to strengthen cybersecurity resilience within Romania's healthcare system. Through concrete actions such as training cybersecurity specialists and promoting best practices in medical data protection, the project actively contributes to risk reduction and improved patient safety.
Funding and Partnerships
The RO-CCH project is implemented with the support of the National Cyber Security Directorate (DNSC), the recipient of a non-reimbursable grant for the implementation of this initiative.
The project is funded by the European Commission through the CNECT.H – Digital Society, Trust, and Cybersecurity program, under the DIGITAL-2022-CYBER-02-SUPPORTHEALTH call, type of action: Digital SME Support. This funding is regulated under contract number 101101522.
