The Romanian Cyber Care Health – RO-CCH project team participated in the MedTech Forum Europe, in Vienna, Austria. The project received significant exposure during a panel at the event, as well as during informal discussions with participants.
The panel dedicated to the theme "Cyber resilience of European healthcare: readiness of the sector" also discussed elements from the reports developed within the RO-CCH project, including on cyber threats in Romania affecting the healthcare sector.
In this context, the following topics were addressed:
- Ransomware – represents the biggest threat from the perspective of the health sector, both in Romania and in the EU;
- The level of awareness in cybersecurity remains insufficient in the health sector, both at the management and user levels;
- In order to increase resilience, cybersecurity risk management must become a priority for healthcare entities.
