Poiana Brașov, 20-23 June, 2024
Between June 20-23, 2024, the Romanian Cyber Care Health – RO-CCH project team participated in the National Conference of Healthcare Personnel (13th edition), organized by the APSAP Training Center, in Poiana Brașov.
In the panel dedicated to the theme “Strengthening the level of cybersecurity in the healthcare system” in Romania, elements from the reports developed within the RO-CCH project were presented and, in addition, the following topics were addressed:
- The Romanian healthcare sector is increasingly digitalized, which causes an exponential increase in the attack surface;
- Human error is the most common vulnerability factor in cybersecurity;
- Impact mitigation methods: employee training, device and data protection, medical device security;
- The level of cybersecurity awareness remains insufficient in the healthcare sector, both at management and user level
- Cybersecurity culture: prioritizing cybersecurity in the organizational culture to increase patient safety and data security.
